Privacy Policy

Creative Business is run by Fiona Mogridge, trading as Creative Business, in Auckland, New Zealand. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and what we do with it. We follow the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.
What we collect
When you send an enquiry through this website, we receive:
- your name, email address and message
- your phone number, if you choose to give it
- which page of the website you sent it from
- if you arrived by clicking one of our Google ads, a reference code for that click (it identifies the click, not you)
If you become a client, we also keep your contact and invoicing details, the dates of your sessions, and Fiona's notes from your coaching sessions.
When you browse the website, Google Analytics and Google Ads collect information about your visit, such as the pages you view, the device and browser you use, and your approximate location. This does not tell us who you are. See Cookies below.
How we use it
- to reply to your enquiry and follow it up
- to arrange, deliver and invoice your coaching
- to keep business and tax records, as the law requires
- to understand which of our ads and pages bring enquiries, so we spend our advertising budget sensibly
We do not sell your information or give it to anyone for their own marketing.
Who else sees it
We use a small number of trusted services to run the website and the business:
- Our marketing partner, who manages this website and our advertising, receives a copy of each website enquiry. They use it only to check the form is working and to measure which ads bring enquiries.
- Vercel hosts the website, and Resend delivers enquiries to our inbox.
- Google provides our email and the spreadsheet where we keep track of enquiries, as well as Google Analytics and Google Ads.
- When one of our Google ads leads to a paid booking, we tell Google Ads that the click turned into a sale, using the click's reference code and the amount. Your name and email are not sent.
Some of these services store information outside New Zealand, mainly in the United States and Australia. We choose well-established providers with strong security and privacy commitments.
We will only share your information with anyone else if you agree, or if the law requires it.
Coaching conversations
What you discuss in coaching stays confidential, as set out in our Terms. If your organisation is paying for your coaching, we do not share what we discuss with them unless you agree.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries that don't go ahead for up to two years, then delete them. For clients, we keep invoicing records for seven years, and coaching notes for as long as we are working together and for a reasonable time afterwards, in case you return.
Keeping it safe
Your information is held in password-protected accounts with reputable providers, and only the people who need it can see it.
Cookies
This website uses a few small files (cookies) in your browser:

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and the website will still work. You can also turn off personalised Google ads at adssettings.google.com.
To stop the contact form being misused, the website also briefly records the internet address (IP address) and email address a message was sent from. These are deleted automatically within two days.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it or delete it. Email fiona@creativebusiness.co.nz and we will reply within 20 working days.
If you are not happy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first. You can also complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
